The tall, linear backrest is defined by slender wooden spindles, an architectural construction element that imparts distinctive character and visual lightness. Embodying the design ethos of the entire collection, Fred SE01 Maxi harmonises three aesthetic philosophies: Nordic purity, the heritage of Windsor seating, and Japanese formal delicacy, creating a balanced, essential profile that celebrates fine artisanal craftsmanship.

Available entirely in wood or with an upholstered seat pad (Maxi SE02) for enhanced comfort. The collection also includes the standard Fred SE chair and the Fred PO dining armchair — both available, like the Maxi version, either all-wood or with an upholstered seat pad — alongside the Fred PL01 lounge armchair: a comprehensive breadth of offerings that enables architects and interior designers to maintain stylistic and material continuity across diverse functional zones. The beech wood frame can be customised with shades from the New Life colour palette and paired with curated textile collections (Cat. A, Superior, Green) or bespoke C.O.M. specifications for the upholstered seat versions. Contract fire-retardant certifications are available upon request.
